WAITING FOR THE READY MIX TRUCK
This is one of the most common situations that leads to frustration and waste on the jobsite. Ready-mix deliveries can be expensive and unpredicatble. Your own mixer or batch plant can pay for itself over a short time and avoid the scheduling hassles that can arrise when using the ready-mix truck.

MIXING BY HAND
Maybe you are using a wheelbarrow and garden hose or mixer attachment on a drill. While these are simplistic and inexpensive approaches for the short term, after a while the workinvoved or the issues that arrise can cause lost time on the jobsite. Mixing by hand means that you are usually guessing at water content which can lead to an inconsistent result from one job to the next. Water meters are frequently used with shotcrete and grouting mixers to really dial in the mixture.
